BENGALURU: Chaos prevailed in the premises of at least 15 schools in different parts of Bengaluru when administrative staff received mails, saying explosives have been planted in their institution and could get triggered anytime.
Bengaluru police commissioner B Dayananda said, many anti-sabotage teams were scanning the school premises and they found no suspicious objects.
“As of now, it looks like a hoax-message. We will complete the search operation soon. However, we request parents not to panic,” he said, adding, “Last year too, miscreants had sent similar emails to many schools in the city,” the top cop said.
Panic in schools
Many parents, teachers and guardians experienced anxiety. While some schools moved students to nearby playgrounds or to other safe places, few schools asked parents/guardians to come and collect their children.
